UnfortunatelysavingaQTVRmoviefromaninternetpageisn'taseasyasright
clickingandselectingSaveAs...Insteadyouhavetocopyitfromthecacheof
yourbrowser.Ifyou'reusingInternetExplorerthecacheislocatedinthe
C:\DocumentsandSettings\LOGINNAME\LocalSettings\TemporaryInternetFilesfolder
whereLOGINNAMEisyourloginname.

2)DirectX.DDS
DDSistheDirectXtextureformatusedinrealtime3Dapplications.Thebigadvantage
oftheDDSformatisthatyoucannotonlyuseitforpanoramicbackgrounds,butalso
forreflectionmapping.ThisexamplemoviehasbeencreatedwithBluffTitlerDX9.The
UFOandthealienarereflectionmappedwiththesameDDSfilethatisusedtorender
thebackground.

Thefollowingprojectionscanbeloadedandsavedinthebmp,jpg,gif,tifandpngformats.

3)LatitiudeLongitude
Thisiswhatmostpeoplemeanwhenthey'retalkingaboutpanoramicphotos.Thehorizontal
coordinateisthelongitudeandtheverticalcoordinateisthelatitude.Themathematical
nameis(equi)rectangularprojection.

4)HorizontalCross
The6facesofthecubemaparelaidoutasahorizontalcross.

5)VerticalCross
The6facesofthecubemaparelaidoutasaverticalcross.

6)Strip
Thefaceorderis:front,right,back,left,top,bottom.

7)StripXYZ
Thefaceorderis:right,left,top,bottom,front,back.ThislayoutisusedbytheNVIDIA

Thismodeimportsandexportsthepanoramaas6singlefiles.

Thisprojectionisusedbyrealtime3Dapplicationsforreflectionmapping.Noticethatthe
backfaceissqueezedintotheborderofthecircleresultinginpoorqualityreflectionmapping.

10)MirrorBall
Thisistheonlyfeaturedprojectionthatisn'tatruepanoramicprojectionbecauseitcontains
onlyhalftheworld.Whenyouimportthisprojectionthefrontismirroredintotheback.
