NetScreen-Remote是一種在用戶主機【桌面或筆記本電腦】上執行的軟體，簡
化了對網路、設備或公共或非信任網路中其它主機的安全遠端接入。通過採用
IPSec協議和第二層通道協議[L2TP]，並以證書作為額外的選項，可以實現安全
性。為了構建安全的通信通道，必須把這一軟體與IPSec網關結合使用【如
NetScreen家族安全設備】，或與執行IPSec兼容軟體的另一台主機結合使用【如
NetScreen-Remote】。

NetScreen-Remote為通過以太區域網或調製解調器遠端撥號接入連接到IP網路
的桌面和/或筆記本電腦專門設計。NetScreen-Remote與過去的NetScreen-
Remote產品採用的實現結構有著很大的差別。這版NetScreen產品提高了兼容能
力、安裝和使用簡便、並提供了一系列新的VPN功能。另外它還提供了強健的轉
換機制，允許用戶簡便地更新以前NetScreen-Remote產品中的配置設定。

NetScreen-RemoteVPN客戶端軟體新增的功能包括：新的身份認證選項(包括
智慧型卡)；通過與公司中央安全管理解決方案NetScreen-GlobalPRO的更緊密
的整合，企業可以更容易地進行部署和管理；以及與RADIUS伺服器的專屬連接
