◎簡　　介　

美國新靈魂樂歌手JohnLegend原名JohnStephens，“JohnLegend”這個名字只是兒時朋友
們送的綽號。JohnLegend出生在美國俄亥俄州的Springfield，家庭的音樂氛圍對於John
Legend日後走向音樂方面產生了重要的作用。2003年，JohnLegend參加了AliciaKeys專輯
《DiaryOfAliciaKeys》主打單曲《YouDon'tKnowMyName》的錄製，又先後參加了
Jay-Z《TheBlackAlbum》，BlackEyedPeas《Elephunk》，Twista《Kamikaze》等多張
暢銷專輯的錄製，還出現在JanetJackson，MaryJ.Blige等人的單曲錄製中。2003年底，
KanyeWest把表現出色的JohnLegend正式簽入了自己的唱片公司裏並且先後於2003年和2004
年初發行了他的現場專輯《LiveatSOB'sNewYorkCity》和《SoloSessionsVol.1:
LiveattheKnittingFactory》。隨著KanyeWest首張個人專輯《CollegeDropout》的
成功，JohnLegend更是受到了KanyeWest的進一步發掘，2004年12月28日，在KanyeWest
的打造下，JohnLegend的首張錄音室專輯《GetLifted》正式發行。
